Track 5 on the album “Empire”, Another Rainy Night (Without You) is another fine example of a drum part that develops along with he song and provides some quite memorable moments.
Watch out for the 9/8 bar leading into the Guitar Solo as it can catch people unaware. Whilst it only adds a single quaver, it’s enough to really lift the song into the solo.
The fills as always require time to perfect, and you will need those extra toms in order to play then. Those with an electronic kit will no doubt be thankful for the ability to have two sounds on one drum……
