Recorded in 1999 & released in 200 on the band’s second album “Infest”, Last Resort is a great example of the Nu-Metal/Rap-Metal that took hold on the back of grunge in the early 2000’s. For those who don’t know, Nu-Metal is a genre of music that infuses traditional Heavy Metal with elements of other music, in this case (and most others) Hip-hop.
Last Resort was the biggest hit for Papa Roach in the UK, reaching #3 in the singles charts, and it seems only fitting to pay tribute to it here.
Take some time with he chart to listen to the song and get a feel for how powerfully the drums kick the song along. Although the track is not that quick (90 bpm), it still manages to groove like a freight train and has a few little interesting challenges to make it fun to play.
Enjoy and share the love!
