Judas Priest and the album Screaming for Vengeance hit the UK in 1982 among the beginnings of the New Romantic movement with bands such as Spandau Ballet and Duran Duran, whilst the cheese pop of Bucks Fizz and Bananarama were climbing the charts. Rock was still being released by the usual big guns of Quo, Foreigner, & Queen, but real honest-to-goodness heavy rock was on the way back to the underground with the exception of AC/DC who clung on for much longer than most! It’s ironic that against this back drop of one hit wonders that Priest released what would end up being their most commercially successful track in “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin'”
It’s a great track to play along to and it still has the ability to annoy yer mum as it did when she first heard it!
